PARANORMAN!

A little bit ago I watched Paranorman while drawing everything I saw. Not sure how many drawings I did but it ended up being a good sized stack. A very good sized stack.

Too big for me to eat :D
So here's some of my favorite sketches from this experience.

For 3D our final project s Make It Small, which pretty much explains itself. In honor of the 50th anniversary I'm planning on making a miniature Small World. Need to get it approved today and am so excited to start working on it. First sketch

Monday 31 March 2014

Hello there! I know its been a while since I last posted, really need to get better about that. It seems like the craziness will come to an end soon, just  few weeks left of school and should hear back from CalArts and Sheridan within the next week or so. I know that God has a plan for me (really wish he would tell me this plan since the waiting process is KILLING me!) and just need to have faith and realize that its all in his control. No matter what happens I'm excited and am proud of the work I have been able to complete within the last year. I've come so far and know that I have much, much more to learn but couldn't be more excited to go through process of learning to animate.

Ok enough sappy stuff, here's a bit of what I've been working on the last few weeks.

20x24 acrylic

Painting from last week's class. I'm so pleased with how the skin turned out. This was the best I've ever been able to mix my paint and hopefully I'll be able to apply that to the two week pose that we're starting this week. Very excited for that :)

3D typography project. Very tasty.

And now for some sketchbook pages!

Man I miss Portland.

It'll be so weird to start drawing people that aren't bundled up

Some of the original Carol drawings. Love that girl!

We worked a little on textures in class so I've been working on them in my spare time using markers and colored pencils. Rendering is so much fun, especially food! Except when it makes you hungry :/

Sheridan Animation Portfolio!!!

At long last the day I've been waiting for to turn in my portfolio arrived. Its a little (ok, a lot!) nerve wracking to know that some amazingly talented minds in the animation world were viewing and marking mine today and that at least 800 applied this year and only 150 get in (and only 25 international :P) but hopefully my hard work will pay off.
So without further ado, my portfolio.
